Wood carving

 Alex Holden has taken up whittling.  He's just made me the most lovely little knife.  I asked him to do one with the old EDFSS (English Folk Dance and Song Society) logo on it - a set of crossed longswords.  Not exactly the easiest  thing, but he's carved them in relief as well!



And on the other side, a top hat for a morris dancer!

It's a butter spreader, only it's so lovely that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to  bring myself to use it for spreading butter...
